“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world.
Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” ~ Rumi

I’ve walked many paths in my time. I started out as a preacher’s kid and a tomboy with dreams of teaching PE and coaching basketball. Then in college, I was surprised to discover I was gay (though, in hindsight, I shouldn’t have been surprised). For years, I struggled to fit this truth into the rigid box I’d grown up in. Eventually, I realized the only way forward was to break down those walls and truly find myself.

While working as an IT consultant to pay the bills, I kept learning—about myself, about how others see the world, and how to navigate it with grace. Though I pick things up quickly, it’s taken years to unpack the layers of that box, and I know the work isn’t finished. As long as life presents new challenges, I’ll keep growing.

Becoming a Life Coach was a natural step in that journey. It’s allowed me to continue learning, becoming the best version of myself, while also sharing what I’ve gained with others. It’s one of the most fulfilling decisions I’ve ever made.
